Partner Terms

For businesses that pay for customers who choose their offer. These terms add to the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy; the Terms of Service control if they conflict.

1. Your licenses and legal compliance

You are solely responsible for holding every license, registration and appointment your offers require, and for complying with every law that applies to your offers, your payments for leads, and your contact with customers. Munja does not check or guarantee your compliance. This includes, where they apply to you:

  • Insurance. State producer licensing and appointment rules, including the Illinois Insurance Code. Munja and its merchants are not licensed insurance producers and do not solicit, negotiate or sell insurance. You pay a fixed price per lead that does not depend on whether a policy is sold. You are responsible for confirming that this arrangement is lawful for you, including under 215 ILCS 5/500-80 and similar laws in other states, and that no merchant is paid in a way the law reserves for licensed producers.
  • Real estate and settlement services. The Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and Regulation X, including the ban on referral fees in Section 8 (12 U.S.C. § 2607), and state real estate licensing law. If you provide a settlement service such as mortgage, title or closing services, you must not use Munja unless you have determined that your payments for leads are lawful.
  • Calls and texts. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Telemarketing Sales Rule, do-not-call rules and state equivalents. Munja does not share phone numbers, and the customer's choice on Munja is not consent to calls or texts. Obtain your own consent before you call or text anyone.
  • Email. The CAN-SPAM Act and state email laws, including honoring opt-outs.
  • Advertising. The FTC Act, the FTC's Guides Concerning Endorsements and Testimonials, and state consumer protection and advertising laws. Your offers must be truthful, not misleading, and supported by evidence.
  • Privacy and data security laws that apply to the customer information you receive.

2. Paying for leads

  • You pay your set price each time a customer chooses your offer. It comes out of a prepaid balance, so a lead is charged when it arrives.
  • Top-ups start at $100. Stripe's processing fee is added on top and shown before you pay: 2.9% + 30¢ by card, or 0.8% capped at $5 by bank transfer. Processing fees are not refundable.
  • The same customer choosing your offers again within 30 days is not charged twice.
  • Unused balance cannot be withdrawn in the app. To close your account, email support@getmunja.com. We will refund your unused balance to the original payment method, less any amounts you owe. Stripe processing fees are not refunded.

3. Lead refunds

Within 14 days of a lead, you can ask for a refund once, from your dashboard or the API, if the lead is:

  • A duplicate of one you already had.
  • Invalid or fake contact details.
  • Outside the service areas you had set when it arrived.
  • A test, not a real customer.
  • Suspected fraud.
  • Something else, with an explanation.

We review each request, normally within 2 business days, and our decision is final. An approved refund goes back to your prepaid balance. “Not interested” or “did not answer” is not a reason for a refund.

4. Chargebacks and reversals

If you dispute, charge back or reverse a top-up with your bank or card issuer, Munja may suspend your account and offers, reduce your balance by the disputed amount, and recover any shortfall plus any dispute fees Stripe charges us. Please contact support@getmunja.com first; most billing issues can be fixed without a dispute.

5. Customer information you receive

You receive the customer's name and email, through your dashboard and, if you set one up, a signed webhook, together with the consent record. You become independently responsible for your copy. You may use it only to follow up about the offer the customer chose, and you will:

  • Not sell, rent, share or pass it on to anyone else, or add it to unrelated marketing lists.
  • Keep it secure, and tell us at support@getmunja.com without undue delay if it is involved in a security breach.
  • Honor deletion and opt-out requests, including ones we pass on to you.

6. Offer rules

  • Offers must be accurate about price, terms and what the customer gets, and you must honor them as shown.
  • Offers must be relevant to the industries and service areas you select. Set your areas accurately.
  • No pressure tactics such as countdowns, “act now” or fake scarcity. The offer editor checks for common pressure phrases.
  • No prize, sweepstakes or “you have won” claims, and no asking for payment details inside the offer.
  • No offers in the categories banned by the Acceptable Use Policy.

We review every new offer before it can go live. That review is not legal advice or an endorsement. We may refuse, pause or remove any offer, remove you from any merchant, or hold balances tied to a breach.

7. Indemnity

In addition to section 10 of the Terms of Service, you will defend and indemnify Munja and its merchants against any claim arising from your offers, your products or services, your licensing or regulatory compliance, your payments for leads, or your contact with any customer, including claims under the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, RESPA or insurance law.
